Sundays

You’re invited!

We have three services on Sundays; Church@9, 1045 and Encounter. They all have their unique flavour and you are welcome at all or any of them!

Church@9

Church at 9 is an interactive service for all ages and stages. Breakfast is served in the cafe from 8.45am and then at 9am in church, we worship together, learn about Jesus through stories, games, craft, videos, and challenges. We also share testimonies of how God has been working in the lives of our church family. After about 20 minutes all together, groups are available for children age 0-2, 3-6, 7-11 and youth. For those staying in the service there is some more time for worship and some teaching from the bible. The first Sunday in the month is a ‘worship for everyone’ service, where we all stay together in church for a service designed for all ages to engage with and encounter Jesus. Tea, coffee and drinks for children are served again in the cafe after the service.

10:45

This service is ideal for anyone who prefers a more traditional and reflective style of service. Musical worship, using a range of classic and modern hymns, is sometimes led by a band, or someone from the piano or the organ. We also use liturgy to help us in our worship. We love studying God’s Word and are blessed with lots of great preachers and teachers, who help us to apply the teaching to our lives. As well as regular opportunities to share testimonies of how God has been at work in our lives during the week, we also celebrate communion twice a month at this service. Tea and coffee are served in the cafe before the 10:45am service.

Kingdom Come

On the first Sunday of the month at 6.30pm, we have Kingdom Come. Each month is slightly different but there are extended times of worship, waiting on the Holy Spirit, listening to and receiving from God. There are opportunities to share testimonies and explore creativity in worship.

Encounter

Encounter is a relaxed, informal benefice service, held in the Beacon Cafe at 6.30pm on Sundays. On the last Sunday of the month we meet at Hampreston Church. We have an extended time of worship and waiting on the Holy Spirit, followed by some bible teaching, often working our way through different books of the bible. There are opportunities to respond to what God is doing and to pray for each other.
